'Just Mercy' kicks off free film series
Old favorites and new hits are coming to the big screen on campus!
All films are limited to 40 people and masks are required. Seating will follow social distancing guidelines. Admission is free. K-State students, please bring your student ID.
"Just Mercy" (PG-13): 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union.
This legal drama is based on the life of civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson. This screening is co-sponsored by Union Program Council and Movies on the Grass & More, which focuses on films that relate to current social issues and topics that affect daily life. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
"Parasite" (R): 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in Forum Hall.
Bong Joon-ho’s South Korean thriller/comedy on class conflict and inequality won the Academy Award for best picture in 2020. Co-sponsored by UPC and the K-State Asian American Student Association. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (PG): 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Forum Hall
Watch the movie that started the Harry Potter cinematic sensation. Following the film, there will be a Harry Potter goody bag giveaway in the Union courtyard at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
