Application open for potential Truman scholars
Campus applications for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship are due March 19. The Truman Scholarship awards up to $30,000 to support graduate study for students aspiring to a career in public service. Kansas State University can nominate up to four individuals plus two additional transfer students to forward to the national competition.
Students eligible to apply in this year's application cycle must plan on graduating between December 2022 and August 2023. Students must also rank in the top quarter of their class and be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals.
K-State students should email Jim Hohenbary, director of nationally competitive scholarships, at jimlth@k-state.edu to obtain a copy of the application.
Interested students are also invited to attend one of three upcoming Truman Information Sessions. The sessions will take place at 3 p.m. Feb. 17, 18 and 19 on Zoom. Meeting ID: 936 5409 0432.
