Study abroad: University of Sydney scholarships
Dear K-State students,
The university's study abroad office would like to announce that the university's newest exchange partner, the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia, is open for fall 2013 applications. The University of Sydney is the highest ranked university partner of Kansas State University. As part of our exchange agreement with Sydney, K-State students pay in-state rates for tuition.
Additionally, there are two very generous scholarships available for those students who enroll at the University of Sydney through the KSU exchange program:
• The University of Sydney is offering two scholarships of $5,000 Australian dollars (or $5,173/U.S.) to two of our students who study at the University of Sydney during our fall 2013 term. Students may be able to combine this with the the university's Presidential Scholarship for Australia.
• Kansas State University is offering the Presidential Scholarships for Australia, which are available to any student who is accepted on the exchange programs to the following universities: University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, University of Western Australia in Perth, and the University of Sydney. Scholarships are approximately $5,000.
Combined, these two scholarships may add to more than $10,000 in scholarship support.
Students must apply by mid-April, so if you're interested you should contact the study abroad office immediately.
Strong preference will be given to students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and some preference will be given to students who have accumulated at least 60 credit hours.
If you want to learn more about this opportunity, please contact the study abroad office at overseas@k-state.edu and visit the study abroad website or in drop by the office at 304 Fairchild Hall.
