Vice president for research candidate finalists announced

The search committee announces four finalists who will interview for the vice president for research position and invites you to attend the virtual open forums presented by each candidate.
• Richard Billo, associate vice president for research and professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Notre Dame, will interview April 6-7. The virtual open forum will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
• James Reecy, associate vice president for research and professor of animal science at Iowa State University, will interview April 8-9. The virtual open forum will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 8.
• David Rosowsky, professor of civil engineering at the University of Vermont, will interview April 12-13. The virtual open forum will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 12.
• Parwinder Grewal, executive vice president for research, graduate studies and new program development and professor of biology at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, will interview April 15-16. The virtual open forum will be from 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, April 15.
K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each virtual open forum and Q&A session titled, "Research, Scholarship, and Economic Development at a 21st Century Land-Grant University: The Role of the Vice President for Research at Kansas State University."
Search committee co-chairs President Richard Myers and Dean Amit Chakrabarti will moderate each virtual open forum. During the Q&A session, you may ask questions live during each virtual open forum using the chat feature.
The virtual open forums may be accessed through the Office of the President website. For those unable to participate live, the virtual open forums will be archived on the president's website. Application materials, itinerary and online feedback survey for each candidate are also available on the website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. Each feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two days following each candidate's on-campus/virtual interview and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.
Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback no later than Sunday, April 18.
