'Phubbing' research participants needed
Ever been in a situation where your partner thinks that what is happening on their phone is more interesting than what you have to say? If so, we'd love to hear from you. Our research project is focused on whether "phubbing," or being snubbed by someone using their cellphone when in your company, is linked to some adverse behaviors, including acts of intimate partner violence by your partner.
We are asking students at Kansas State University and the University of Texas at El Paso about these experiences. To participate in this study, you must be 19 years or older and have been in an intimate relationship within the last 12 months. This survey should only take about 20 minutes to complete and you can access it online.
This research has been approved by the K-State Institutional Review Board, IRB No. 10537.
Please contact Lisa Melander if you have questions about the study. We hope you will participate.
