Student Senate Weekly Update
Hello Wildcats!
Student Senate met on Thursday, April 15, in the College of Business Building and over Zoom for the second meeting of the term.
During the meeting, Student Senate passed several commendations. Included were commendations to the College of Education Rural Education Summit, Dr. Bryan Samuel, the winners of the Live Ideas Short Stories Contest, and to Trey Varner for the creation of the Wildcat Mentor Program at K-State Polytechnic.
At the meeting, Student Senate also elected Nick Saia as its next speaker pro tempore of the Student Senate. The speaker pro tempore is primarily responsible for overseeing Student Government's outreach within each academic college, serving as secretary and overseeing the legislative process of Student Senate, and assisting the speaker of the Student Senate in their role.
