Assistant vice president for operational strategy accepts role in Colorado
Mandy Cole, assistant vice president for operational strategy and director of the Administrative Support Center has been named assistant vice chancellor of budget management at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her last day on campus is Aug. 20.
Cole began her 12-year career at K-State in the Controller’s Office moving to the Budget Office in 2011. She was hired to develop and promote the Administrative Support Center in 2016. Beginning with the Administration and Finance unit, she successfully transitioned staff performing accounting, finance and human resource activities from 60 separate administrative departments into one. The result was an efficient well-operated department that provides cross-training and career opportunities to staff and serves the departments well. Cole has held various positions and served on numerous committees during her time with the university.
“I have appreciated the opportunity to work with Mandy over the past ten years,” said Cindy Bontrager, vice president for university operations and chief operating officer. “She is bright, analytical and never one to back away from a challenge. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist made her someone you wanted around to solve problems and get the work done. She is a tremendous asset on my team and will be missed at Kansas State.”
A come-and-go farewell reception is planned for Cole from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, in the Regnier Atrium.
Information on a replacement for the director of the Administrative Support Center will be announced soon.
