Host a high school student during EXCITE Shadow Days
Inspire high school students who are considering STEM majors and careers! EXCITE Shadow Days are events designed to encourage girls' interest in science, technology, engineering and math — STEM — fields.
KAWSE is seeking volunteers to serve as ambassadors to host a high school student during one of our upcoming EXCITE Shadow Days, Sept. 22 and/or Nov. 10. Ambassadors are current K-State undergraduate students majoring in STEM. When registering, high school students select their top three majors of interest and are paired with an Ambassador majoring in one of those fields.
Together, shadows and their ambassadors attend classes, tour campus, eat lunch, and talk about life as a Wildcat. A $10 meal card to the K-State Student Union is provided to both the ambassador and their shadow. This volunteer opportunity is intended for undergraduate students. Read the complete position description and apply online.
EXCITE Shadow Days are hosted by KAWSE, the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering.
