Fitness facility research for personal trainers and coaches
Submitted by Cassandra Beattie
Do you work as a personal trainer or coach at a gym? In the study "Unpacking gendered experiences in the gym: ideas for creating more inclusive gym spaces," K-State researchers are interested in your unique experiences at the gym and what recommendations you have for a better experience.
We are currently interested in the experiences of personal trainers and coaches to better understand how different people use different areas of the gym and how this varies by gender to gather suggestions on how to develop more gender-neutral/inclusive gym spaces in the future.
There are no right or wrong answers. Those who are interested in the study consisting of a one-hour individual interview and completing the optional follow-up survey have the option to be entered into a gift card drawing for one of five Amazon gift cards of up to a $60 value.
If you have any questions, please contact Cassandra Beattie at cbeattie@k-state.edu or call 913-948-0825. Please click on the link below to see if you are eligible for the study, and if so, you will receive an email within 24 hours with scheduling directions.
