Want to fight food waste and feed people? Attend Food Recovery Network kickoff training tonight
Join the Food Recovery Network at K-State, a registered independent student organization, for pizza, learning and volunteer training at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, in 247 Leadership Studies Building.
The Food Recovery Network is a student-led campus organization focused on "Fighting Waste. Feeding People." The kickoff event will introduce the organization and review safety guidelines for our volunteers. The organization works to recover leftover food that would otherwise be thrown away and delivers this food to receiving partners so it is used to feed people in our community. We work with partners like Sodexo's Performance Table, Cats' Cupboard, Common Table and more — our impact is growing and we're looking for students passionate about food security to join us.
