Goins publishes interview with Atlanta jazz guitarist

Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, conducted an exclusive interview with jazz guitarist Rod Harris Jr., the Grammy-nominated artist whose work deserves wider attention. Goins highlighted the diverse array of skills Harris regularly displays, including, arranging, composing and performing in myriad guitar styles.
The interview was featured in the November 2021 issue of Jazz Guitar Today, the premier online journal for jazz guitar enthusiasts all around the world. Goins, who was recently appointed as a contributing writer to the magazine, regularly publishes a wide variety of pieces, including exclusive jazz artist profiles, CD reviews and articles specifically focused on jazz education.
Faculty in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance have received Grammy awards and nominations, and Emmy awards; produced recordings on international and national CD labels and published books and journal articles with international and national publishing houses and professional organizations; and performed and presented research in every continent in the world, except Antarctica.
