Project estimate request process adjustments
Due to staffing shortages in the Campus Planning and Project Management department, the following process changes related to new project estimate requests are effective immediately.
No new project estimate requests by campus units will be accepted between now and Jan. 18, 2022. Pausing new project estimate requests will allow staff to catch up on current projects and redistribute workloads among remaining staff.
When the project estimate request process resumes on Jan. 18, the submittal process will be temporarily amended to require dean or vice president level approval. This change will ensure all submitted requests are supported by unit leadership and aligned with their long-term vision for facilities.
Campus Planning and Project Management receives multiple project estimate requests per month. Each request is unique and requires a significant amount of time to complete. We appreciate your discretion and prioritization in submitting new requests at this time. Searches are underway for additional project manager positions and we are working to find creative solutions to address the needs of campus and to continue to provide exceptional service.
