Kansas Board of Regents September meeting university updates

Consent agenda
The board approved K-State's request to renovate the first floor of Bluemont Hall, improve the outdoor fields at the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex and renovate the small animal surgery suites in Mosier Hall.
K-State received approval to construct a new farm equipment storage building at the Agronomy North Farm.
The Regents appointed Bikram Gill, distinguished professor emeritus of plant pathology, to the EPSCoR Program Review Committee.
Discussion agenda
The Regents approved distributions of the remaining funding appropriated by the 2022 Legislature for information technology infrastructure and cybersecurity purposes. The Regents Information Technology Council recommends K-State receive approximately $1.9 million in additional funding.
K-State received approval for the construction of a new agronomy research and innovation center.
The Regents approved K-State's request to raze the Greenhouse D Conservatory at The Gardens and the Gymnasium.
K-State received approval to rename Butterfly Lane to Wefald's Butterfly Lane in honor of former President Jon Wefald, who died April 16.
