Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society hosts Minnetronix presentation
The Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, a registered departmental student organization, will host a presentation by Dan Friedrichs, technical leader at Minnetronix Medical, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in Room 93 of Engineering Hall. All engineering students are welcome to attend.
Minnetronix Medical is a St. Paul, Minnesota, company that designs and manufactures medical devices on behalf of other companies — they are the behind-the-scenes magic that turns napkin sketches into finished medical devices.
In this talk, Friedrichs will share details of how the medical device industry operates, discuss different career paths and tips for job success, and briefly nerd out on some cool emerging technologies for treating cancer. The talk will be approximately 30 minutes and will be followed by time for any Q&A.
