Today: Art Expression Workshop by Thrive Navigators
The Thrive Navigators will host an Art Expression Workshop from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today, April 18, in the K-State Student Union courtyard. Come paint with your peers and learn more about how art can be beneficial for mental health.
Art therapy uses the creative process to help people develop self-awareness, explore emotions, relieve stress, and achieve personal well-being and improved levels of function. Art therapy often shows positive results in people with anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, ADHD, cognitive impairments, and family and relationship issues.
Thrive Navigators is a departmental student organization under the leadership of Lafene Health Center and the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being. Members are passionate about students' emotional well-being and mental health.
