Special Session for AI Symposium - Birds of a Feather
Students and faculty from across disciplines are invited to join the Birds of a Feather session on Monday, October 16, from 1:30-2:45 p.m. during K-State's AI Symposium.
In this session, participants will decide what is going to be discussed. In the first 10 minutes, every participant can make proposals for discussion themes, which can be anything related to AI.
Examples of topics may be:
- "Is the fast recent development of AI a danger to humanity?"
- "How will AI influence the future of Agriculture?"
- "Should AI systems such as ChatGPT be allowed as writing support for people with specific learning disabilities affecting written expression?"
There will be a vote to find out which four themes are most popular, and the session will split into these four groups to discuss separately. After about 50 minutes, the groups will re-join, and we will share brief summaries from each of the groups.
To make this a lively discussion, we encourage participation from all across campus and departments.
