Join the Brewing and Fermentation Science short course at Manhattan Brewing Co.
Kansas State University — through collaboration with K-State Innovation Partners, Manhattan Brewing Company, IGP Institute and K-State faculty — is offering a Brewing and Fermentation Science short course Jan. 8-10, 2024. Home brewers, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, students and others interested in learning the science behind the world's most widely consumed fermented beverage should enroll in this short course.
The Brewing and Fermentation short course is a hands-on, three-day course where participants can expect to learn about the brewing process, including malt, hops, fermentation, packaging, safety, tasting technique, beer styles, common off-flavors and much more. This short course was designed for anyone who is looking to learn the fundamentals of brewing and fermentation science. Participants will learn from industry professionals at Manhattan Brewing Company, faculty from Kansas State University and other experts in the industry.
This course will include an introduction to the brewing process, demonstrations of how scientific concepts apply to brewing practices and application of sensory analysis techniques.
The course will be held Jan. 8-10, 2024, at Manhattan Brewing Company's Taproom and Brewery.
