Host a high school student at upcoming EXCITE Shadow Days
Inspire high school students who are considering majors and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, by serving as an ambassador for the upcoming EXCITE Shadow Days.
Ambassadors are current K-State undergraduate students majoring in STEM. When registering, high school students select their top three majors of interest, and are paired with an ambassador majoring in one of those fields. Together, shadows and their ambassadors attend classes, tour campus, eat lunch and talk about life as a Wildcat. A $10 meal card to the K-State Student Union is provided to both the shadow and ambassador. This volunteer opportunity is intended for undergraduate students. Read the complete position description.
Sample schedule:
- 9-9:30 a.m. — Pick up your high school shadow from the K-State Student Union.
- 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. — One-on-one time with your shadow as you go about your normal day on campus.
- 3-3:30 p.m. — Drop off your shadow at the K-State Student Union.
