New Feeding Your Future summer camp at K-State
Submitted by Summer Santillana
Kansas State University's College of Agriculture will introduce a new opportunity for high school students to learn about amazing career opportunities in agronomy, grain science and food production through the Feeding Your Future 2024 summer youth camp. The camp will take place July 16-20.
This is a collaboration between the agronomy and grain science and industry departments in an effort to increase awareness of the degree programs and to encourage future enrollment with the K-State College of Agriculture.
- Camp activities will feature agronomy, milling science, bakery science, and feed and pet food science.
- As many as 30 campers will be engaged in hands-on learning during workshops on the Manhattan campus.
- The camp will include a career night for them to make connections between what they've learned during the week and the variety of careers available in agronomy and grain science.
Please help us share this great opportunity with potential campers. We are also accepting applications for student counselors. Read more information.
The camp will be hosted through the College of Agriculture Academic Programs Office in partnership with the College of Agriculture and K-State Research and Extension Diversity Programs Office. Please contact Deana Core at dcore@k-state.edu or 785-532-5736 for more information.
