Office of the Provost invites nominations for three presidential awards
The Office of the Provost invites nominations for the following three presidential awards. Application materials for all awards are due by Friday, March 15.
- Kansas State University Presidential Award for Outstanding Department Head. This award recognizes and rewards an outstanding department head at Kansas State University. One award is made each year for the outstanding department head. Each dean may submit up to one nominee from their college.
- Presidential Faculty Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and the Presidential Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. These teaching awards recognize and reward excellence in teaching performance in the undergraduate program. The nominations for the teaching awards are made at the college level. Nominations for the awards are solicited from students, faculty and administrators. Nominees are submitted by department heads to the dean of the college in which the teacher is appointed. Each dean may submit up to two nominees from their college: one for the GTA award and one for the undergraduate teaching award. Colleges are strongly encouraged to nominate individuals who have not previously won this award.
Deans may submit nominations for these presidential awards electronically in PDF format to the provost's office via provounivawards@k-state.edu before the deadline of Friday, March 15.
Please contact Tanya González, associate provost for academic affairs, at tgonzale@k-state.edu with any questions.
