NRES students seek undergraduate survey participants for capstone research project
A multidisciplinary undergraduate team in the NRES secondary major capstone course seeks undergraduate students to participate in a short survey designed as part of their semesterlong research project.
Undergraduate students are eligible to participate if they have a valid K-State email, are currently enrolled and come from a town in Kansas with a population of 30,000 or fewer people. The survey should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes.
The project, "Unveiling socio-environmental-economic influences within young adult outmigration from rural Kansas," acknowledges that one of the largest crises facing Kansas is the lack of college-educated young people returning to their rural hometowns. To determine the causes of outmigration, the team asks students from rural Kansas to respond to a survey about their experiences.
Take the survey online or scan the QR code.
The team will present their findings from 9:30-11:20 a.m. Monday, May 6, in Room 41 of Waters Hall. The public is invited to attend.
