Opportunity to honor local talent
The Kansas Community Empowerment Program — administered through K-State Research and Extension, partnering with the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Kansas Masons — is sharing an opportunity to bring recognition to your local talent — the NextGen Under 30 Program.
Do you know an individual under the age of 30 you work with or in your community who is making a difference? The NextGen Under 30 program recognizes individuals under the age of 30 who demonstrate talent, drive and service to their communities.
Sponsored by the Kansas Department of Commerce, the Kansas Masons and Lead for America in Kansas, NextGen Under 30 holds a call for nominations at the start of ever year. Last year more than 200 individuals from across Kansas were honored for their innovative, creative and inspiring work in more than 25 designated categories.
Honorees are invited for a "Day at the Capitol" to meet with the lieutenant governor and network with their fellow honorees as well as with leaders in government, business and community. They are honored at an awards ceremony attended by family, friends and many Kansas celebrities.
The opportunity to nominate is open through July 19. For more information, visit nextgenunder30ks.com
