New student orientation leaders selected for summer program
The Office of Recruitment and Admissions has selected 20 student staff members to serve as orientation leaders for the summer program. These students will assist in welcoming all new undergraduate students to K-State.
Orientation leaders play an important role in the onboarding of future K-Staters. They will assist with small group facilitation, guiding students and families throughout campus, teaching K-State traditions and more.
Kaylynn Hendricks, senior in secondary education, and Judy Wiebe, junior in economics and human resources, will both serve as student interns for New Student Orientation programs.
The following students will serve as student orientation leaders:
Emily Belmont, senior in sociology; Morgan Doane, senior in social work; Darrin Funk, senior in secondary education-social studies; Evan Giles, junior in operation and supply chain management; Katie Goings, sophomore in secondary education; Sean Hoffmans, senior in majoring in organizational management; Erin Jackson, senior in secondary education-English; Olivia Lawson, junior in animal science production management; Baruc Lombardo, senior in computer engineering; Hajar El Motamed, sophomore in architecture engineering; Isabel Navarro, sophomore in animal science, pre-vet option; Cheyenne Niblack, senior in secondary education and theatre; Natalie Ostmeyer, junior in interior architecture; Mekaila Rickert, junior in advertising and public relations; Caden Roark, senior in music education; Anna Scott, junior in biology and natural resources and environmental science; Sydney Sommers, sophomore in interior architecture and design; and April Teho, sophomore in criminology.
