Need to know policies: Student Organization Code of Conduct

Submitted by Alli Coleman

K-State has more than 400 recognized student organizations, which means you have a lot of choices available when it comes to your level of involvement. With so many options to choose from, it is important to also know the expectations provided as part of being a member of a recognized student organization.

Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Student Organization Conduct Code and Process for Discipline. The policy outlines prohibited behaviors and further explains information on how the conduct process works for a student organization. Student Support and Accountability's website features additional information related to student organizational conduct. The link to report a concern is included at the bottom of that webpage as well as on K-State's Report It website.

In addition, it is encouraged for all students to learn about the Student Amnesty Policy, a policy that was designed to empower students to report alcohol and other drug-related emergencies, sexual harassment, discrimination and other harassment, physical assaults, threatening behavior, incidents of hazing, and other similar behavioral concerns without the concern of being punished for minor conduct infractions. More information can be found by reading the Student Amnesty Policy.
