Overdam Feather Reed Grass, Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Overdam'
Full Sun, Cool-Season
‘Overdam’ is a variegated form of the popular feather reed grass. The cream-white variegation adds some variety, but the inflorescences tend to be weaker than other cultivars. It may suffer from extended heat; we will be interested to see how it performs in this trial.
The spring color of this grass was very attractive, with hints of pink in the variegation. It performed very well in its second year. Although it the variegation lost some of its punch when the weather turned hot, it still had a nice form all season.
