Giant Chinese Silver Grass, Miscanthus Floridulus ‘Giganteus’
This grass is somewhat experimental to see how it does in this climate – so far it looks very well adapted, as it’s fast growing and very tall. It has a slightly different look than the other Miscanthus, as it has a rhizomatous growth habit, wider leaves, and it is so much taller. It has winter interest, although many of the stalks had been broken from wind and weather by February.
Unsure about the availability, as these came from an Iowa State University trial.
