Switch Grass, Panicum Virgatum ‘Dallas Blues’
Full Sun, Warm-season
The ‘Dallas Blues’ variety of Switch Grass has a blue to gray-green color that distinguishes it from the species. It does not get quite as tall as some other cultivars, but still has great winter interest, with the stalks able to hold on to a reddish color throughout the winter months. The flowers of this cultivar are pink-tinged and a little more ornamental than the species. It had excellent growth in its second season.
