This variety is the shortest Switch Grass planted in the trial. It also boasts dark red tipped foliage, making it a real stand-out, especially as it turns colors in the fall. Great upright winter interest.
This was the #1 favorite pick of our visitor survey in 2008. People love the red foliage and the dense growth habit it displayed in the second year. The flowers are held much closer to the foliage than the other Switch Grass cultivars, but it is still a very ornamental plant.
