Little Bluestem, Schizachyrium Scoparium 'The Blues'

This is a cultivar of the native Little Bluestem that has a blue tint to the leaves. It still has that nice compact form and winter interest like the species.
In the second trial year, this cultivar did not perform very well. It was slow to start up in the spring and many of the several of the plants had spindly growth. Not nearly as attractive the second year here.
