Biography

Maj Brian J. Tabares is the Operations Officer of Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps for Detachment 270 at Kansas State University. He is responsible for educating, training, and inspiring young men and women to become officers of character, leading the United States Air Force and Space Force in service to our Nation.

Maj Tabares commissioned in 2013 through Air Force Officer Training School after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He is an active-duty Information Operations Officer in the United States Air Force. He has deployed three times, supporting Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, and Juniper Shield, throughout the Middle East and Africa. Prior to his current position, Maj Tabares was the 1st Special Operations Wing Director of Information Operations at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
