Biography
Lt Col Brian J. Witthoeft is the Commander of the Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps for Detachment 270 at Kansas State University. He leads a team of 6 officers, NCOs, and Kansas State employees to train the next generation of Air Force and Space Force Officers.
Lt Col Witthoeft enlisted in the Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst in 1997 and received his commission in 2005 upon graduation from Iowa State University. He has held acquisitions engineering positions in both the C-17 Program and Air Force Research Labs Munitions Directorate. Lt Col Witthoeft also served as the Military Assistant to the Chief of Staff of Allied Joint Force Command Headquarters, Naples, Italy. Prior to his current assignment, Lt Col Witthoeft served as the Deputy Senior Program Manager position in the A-10 Program Office.
Lt Col Witthoeft deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2010 to support the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Training Mission-Afghanistan as the Assistant Officer-In-Charge of the Joint Visitor’s Bureau. He most recently deployed to Islamabad, Pakistan to be the Executive Officer to the Senior Defense Official/Defense Attaché in the Office of the Defense Representative for Pakistan.
