Self-Defense Classes in Manhattan, KS

Cardio/Kick-Boxing (self-defense) Classes:
These classes will teach the basics of kicking and punching as well as give a nice cardio workout.
Tuesday: 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Thursday: 5:00-5:45 p.m.
Self-Defense Classes:
These classes are considered to be focused on more ground-based self-defense skills.
Friday: 5:30-7:00 p.m.
*All classes listed here are Women-Only classes, with the exception of a male instructor.*
As far as the cost, normally it is $75 a month, but currently they are running a "New Year Special" for $50 a month. That price will continue through February. Also, CSC encourages you to come in and try out a couple classes for FREE, to make sure you like it before you have to pay anything.

Programs:
Credit Hours: A beginners’ Tae Kwon Do class is available through Kansas State University for an optional one hour of college credit. This class meets Tuesday and Thursday nights. It is a great opportunity to experience the class and decide whether our program is right for you, or to just add a fun class to found out your schedule!
Beginners & Advanced: New students have two classes per week until they feel comfortable with the basics (usually around 8 classes). At this point, the new students will join the advanced class, which is offered five times a week. Classes can be attended all fives times or at the frequency that best fits your schedule.
Family Plans: Our family plan options vary. Please give Sun Yi’s a call for all the details.

Karate and Self-Defense (Adult & Youth) Classes:
Classes are structured to provide mental and physical coordination. Training is divided into 3 major areas: basic motion ("Kihon") with study of the fundamental technique, forms and pattern of movements and techniques that demonstrate physical/combative principles and sparring ("Kumite"). No matter your current situation, you will be guided step-by-step and shown exactly how to achieve Karate success. Class is for both adults and youth (ages 4+).

Women's Self Defense:
This course takes a holistic approach to self-defense, emphasizing both physical and psychological strategies. This class is designed to improve your awareness, personal safety, and self-confidence. Each class designed to deal with a different setting such as dating issues, walking alone, car crimes and home protection. Students will learn basic martial arts skills including jujitsu. No prior martial arts experiences required. Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.
