Review in your journal what your learning partner said was true
for yourself. Now consider what you heard others say about
you as you were growing up (or what you heard them telling
other people). Were these comments objective or subjective?
Were they statements of fact or judgments? Some of these memories
can be painful.
Destructive words can echo from one year to
the next throughout our lives. Overcoming these messages and “reprogramming” our
thinking can be extremely difficult.
