The
appropriate ages for a board game are difficult to estimate. Prior experience
with games, maturity level, experience with abstract concepts can be important
factors affecting enjoyment of a game. A ten-year-old might have a difficult
time with a game that another younger child learns quickly. Any game listed
as playable by preschoolers will work only if the child has had experience
with very simple card games or board games and has the guidance of parent
who is also playing. Become familiar with the rules before play begins and
have a simpler backup game in case your child becomes too frustrated with
a new game. |
