| Publication date is not a good predictor of quality, at least over the last 20 years or so. Great stories are timeless and never become dated. Unfortunately, many excellent picture books tend to go out-of-print fairly quickly. Online booksellers like Amazon.com or Barnesandnoble.com can often find a book that may no longer be available from the publisher. |
