Future Transfer Students

Once you have attempted college credit following high school graduation (except for the summer semester following May graduation), you are considered a transfer student at K-State. This does not include college courses taken during high school. Visit our Transfer Student Admissions Guidelines for more information.

K-State does not have a maximum number of credits that a student can transfer in, but only 60 credit hours from a two-year institution can be applied toward a degree.

Students who graduated from high school more than 12 months prior to the first day of classes for the applicable semester are considered exempt from the first-year residency requirement. See K-State Housing and Dining's First Year Residency Exemptions.
