Graduate Students
We are currently accepting applications for a graduate student to join our lab in the Division of Biology, KSU for the Fall or Winter, 2023. The specific research project will be developed jointly between interested students and Jesse Nippert, but will have a primary grassland ecophysiology focus. Applicants intersted in either a MS or PhD positions are encouraged to apply. Note that a completed MS degree is required if interested in a PhD position in the lab. Undergraduate Students
We are looking for an undergraduate research technician to assist with data analysis in both the EcoPhys Lab and the Stable Isotope lab. Responsibilities include grinding and weighing soil, plant, and animal samples for isotopic analysis. A strong attention to detail and fine-motor dexterity is required. Other tasks include general laboratory maintenance, assisting graduate students with data analysis, and occasional field data collection at Konza Prairie. An opportunity for independent research is also available.
During the school year, 10-15 hours/week availability is required. During the summer, 20-40 hours / week are available.
