Advanced English I classes (DAS 151, 152, 153, & 154) are graded according to the University's letter grade system (A, B, C, D, and F). These classes will affect a student's undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPA). For this reason, students are only allowed to enroll in 9 credit hours of these classes during the summers.
DAS 151 Speaking (3 credit hours)
The goal of this course is for students to develop advanced English speaking skills for personal and academic situations necessary for success in an American university.
The goal of this course is for students to develop advanced English academic writing skills incorporating more complex grammatical structures necessary for success in an American university.
The goal of this course is for students to develop advanced English academic reading and vocabulary skills necessary for success in an American university.
DAS 154 Listening (3 credit hours)
The goal of this course is for students to develop advanced English academic listening skills necessary for success in an American university.
Fast Track is a special placement that is offered for students who qualify for Advanced English I (Exit Level) in three skill areas. These students will take three Advanced English I (DAS 15X) courses and one Intermediate English II (DAS 150) course.
