Access to IT Resources

See below for more information about what each group retains and loses access to when leaving K-State:

Students

NOTE: Students must have taken a credit course.

* The services tied to each role remain active as long as the password has not expired and has not been compromised. However, access may be adjusted based on changes to university resources and policies.

Employees and Retirees

Faculty

Emeritus Faculty/Staff and Distinguished Professors

Canvas Duo Two-Factor Authentication Email account NOTE: Mailbox size is reduced from 100GB to 50GB. Online library journals and databases from campus computers. (Requests for remote access to continue research activities will be considered on an individual basis.) Zoom	Adobe Creative Cloud GlobalProtect VPN KSIS Microsoft 365 (Office Suite and apps), including OneDrive NOTE: Access can be extended by having the department representative complete the eID with extended access form on behalf of the faculty or staff member. Business reason must be given for access to be granted.

* Accounts belonging to emeritus faculty/staff and distinguished professors that are in good standing will not be removed. To maintain good standing, emeritus faculty/staff and distinguished professors must use Duo two-factor authentication and complete the annual cybersecurity training. Accounts that do not remain in good standing will be locked after 60 days of non-compliance and will stay in a locked status. To regain access to a locked account, you must contact the IT Service Desk to reactivate Duo and retake the cybersecurity training.
