Amateur Radio Club (WØQQQ)

WØQQQ promotes radio education through workshops, licensing opportunities and curriculum support, represents K-State in regional and worldwide operating events, and provides weather and emergency services to K-State and the surrounding community in coordination with the Office of the Kansas State Climatologist and the university’s Office of Emergency Management. Membership is open to all K-State students, faculty, staff and the general public. No amateur radio license is required, and individuals new to the hobby are welcome regardless of experience level. Meetings are held weekly at 12 p.m. on Sundays in 401 Seaton Hall. |
EventsAmateur Radio is built on community, and our events bring that community together. WØQQQ hosts weekly club meetings, on-air educational emergency nets, and participates in collegiate and regional competitions. We also offer open licensing sessions to help anyone interested in entering the hobby and support programs where licensed operators play a critical role. ![]() Radio Nets are held at 8:00 PM Central every Saturday on WØQQQ's linked repeaters (2m/70cm) using the frequencies below or over EchoLink via WØQQQ-L.
WØQQQ members take part in local, national, and worldwide radio operating events, representing K-State while building technical skills, teamwork, and collegiate sportspersonship.
