Seek the fall issue of K-State's research magazine

Submitted by Office of the Vice President for Research and the Division of Communications and Marketing

Fall 2018 Seek magazine

How does Kansas State University research fill your dinner plate? What can we learn from wildlife? How do university green roofs enrich city life?

Find the answers in the fall issue of Kansas State University's flagship research magazine, Seek. The latest issue highlights university research, scholarly and creative activity, and discovery through a print publication as well as a redesigned website: k-state.edu/seek

The magazine highlights five feature stories:

"The making of a meal" takes a bite out of research that improves America's favorite meal.

"Life of the wild" explores why scientists study ecosystems and the wildlife within them.

"An urban prairie" illustrates how university green roofs enrich city life

"Healthy animals, healthy humans" describes zoonotic disease research that targets animal and human maladies.

"Child's play" shows how a stone house is home to innovative child development research.

The magazine also shares how a biologist is taking research to the "nest" level, demonstrates how a university program is helping first-generation students graduate and welcomes readers to the North Campus Corridor neighborhood.

Seek is published twice a year and is a collaboration among the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Division of Communications and Marketing and other university communicators.
