Sri Lankan Cultural Show and Workshop “Sihasara”

The K-State Sri Lankan Students' Association will host the inaugural Sri Lankan Cultural Show and Workshop, "Sihasara," on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the K-State Student Union.

The association, along with the Sri Lankan community in Manhattan are excited to share an authentic experience from Sri Lanka, a tropical island in the Indian Ocean.

The exhibition and workshop, from noon to 2 p.m. in the K-State Student Union courtyard, will feature an art and cultural display, photo booth with traditional Sri Lankan costumes, and dancing and drumming lessons by professional artists.

The cultural show and performances, from 2-4 p.m. in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union, will feature dancing and drumming acts by invited professional dance troops and traditional dancing, music and colorful fashion by your fellow Sri Lankans.

Admission is free and traditional Sri Lankan snacks will be served. Please save the date and join us.

See the event flier for more information.
