2019 Benefits Fair

Submitted by Human Capital Services

The 2019 Benefits Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the K-State Student Union. The fair provides employees an opportunity to meet with benefit vendors and attend presentations to enhance their knowledge regarding their benefit options.

October is open enrollment for health insurance, life insurance and other supplemental benefits. Katie Banker, a State Employee Health Plan representative, will present information on the 2020 health plans and will be available to answer questions regarding open enrollment. The State Employee Health Plan presentations will take place at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union. An online, on-demand presentation is available on the State Employee Health Plan website.

The K-State Student Union Ballroom will host more than 20 benefit vendors for you to learn more about specific benefits and ask questions. Lafene Health Center will also offer flu shots again this year. Please bring your insurance card and ID to obtain a flu shot.

Wellness chats, mini-sessions focused on highlighting benefits that support your personal well-being, will be in the K-State Student Union Cottonwood Room at the following schedule:

  • 10 a.m. — Building Your Financial Castle
  • 11 a.m. — How to Protect your Loved Ones and Your Paycheck
  • Noon — Top Three Things to Know about Social Security and Retirement
  • 1 p.m. — An Introduction to LearningQuest
  • 2 p.m. — Supporting our Communities Greatest Needs

Are you interested in learning more about the benefits available during open enrollment? View the State Employee Health Plan 2020 website and watch K-State Today and your email for more information.
