Submitted by Human Capital Services - Learning and Development

Understanding Legal and Ethical Responsibilities of Supervisor will be offered from 8:30-10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, via Zoom. Attendance at both sessions will be required to receive credit for the topic.

The topic is designed to introduce participants to legal concepts by providing an overview of key laws and policies impacting the workplace. Participants will learn how to spot legal issues and how to best utilize resources to assist with potential legal and ethical concerns.

The session will help participants:

  • Identify the legal aspects associated with managing employees.
  • Identify the ethical situations that may present themselves to supervisors.

You must be a current supervisor of university support staff or unclassified professionals to attend this session.  This session is offered in conjunction with the K-State Supervisory Foundations Pillar I: Establishing Your Supervisory Foundation certificate program, therefore, seating is limited.

To register for this session, please complete the registration form.
