Indian Students Association to host 'Dance night: Dandiya and Garba Rass'

The Indian Students Association, a registered independent student organization, invites the K-State and Manhattan communities to its upcoming community Indian folk dance event "Dance night: Dandiya and Garba Rass" from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in the Main/Grand Ballroom of the K-State Student Union.
The "Dance night: Dandiya and Garba Rass" is inspired by some of the major dance gatherings in various cities and towns across India. Dance enthusiasts travel far places in their best ethnic dress to dance into the night.
The dance night at K-State will be a free, family-friendly, community dance festival open to all K-State students, their families and the Manhattan community. Everyone, from children to the elderly, is invited to dance together to the tunes of Indian folk and Bollywood music with other guests. You don't need to be a trained dancer to take part in it. The dance steps are easy to follow, and volunteers will be present to help guide guests with the basic steps of Garba and Dandiya.
