KSRE to hold statewide local foods virtual town hall
The Kansas State Research and Extension Local Foods Transdisciplinary Team will host a statewide local foods system virtual town hall from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 26. K-State faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
The agenda for the second virtual town hall:
- Five-minute presentations by select state organizations on current efforts related to local food systems. Presenters include Kansas Action for Children, Kansas Appleseed, Network Kansas and K-State Urban Food Systems Certificate program.
- Update on the status of the USDA Regional Food Systems Program grant KSRE submitted in July 2021 and next steps.
- Brief announcements of upcoming relevant local food systems events in Kansas that will be occurring in the next few months.
