Educational responses to Ukrainian refugees panel April 25

Submitted by Sarah Harper

Learn how higher education is responding to the Ukrainian refugee influx through an educational panel at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25. The panel will be offered in person and virtually.

This panel will cover the recent Russian invasion of Ukraine and how Poland has received an influx of more than 2 million Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war. Discover and learn how higher education and secondary school administrators and instructors are responding to this challenge in education and in leadership.

Moderator Susan Yelich Biniecki, associate professor of educational leadership in the College of Education, will collaborate with colleagues from the Pedagogical University in Krakow, Poland, and the IV High School in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The Staley School of Leadership Studies is also supporting the program.

This panel will be offered in person for those in Manhattan at the Staley School of Leadership Studies. It also will be simultaneously livestreamed through Zoom. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to attend in person to have the opportunity to engage with the panelists.
