Dobrzanski releases new CD recording

Submitted by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

Slawomir

Slawomir Dobrzanski, professor of music in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, recorded the complete piano works by Feliks Roderyk Labunski, 1892-1979. The Polish-French-American composer Feliks Roderyk Labunski was a student of Nadia Boulanger and a longtime professor of composition at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. The CD will be released by the London-based recording company Acte Prealable.

In addition to piano works recorded in Poland by Dobrzanski, the CD features Polish Christmas carols arranged by Labunski for the organ, which were recorded in All Faiths Chapel by David Pickering, K-State organ professor.
