New research resources from K-State Libraries

Submitted by Cailin Riley

K-State Libraries has secured access to three research resources for student, faculty and patron use.

JSTOR All Access is a continuation of the access to all JSTOR journals the K-State Libraries have enjoyed since COVID-19. JSTOR is a database that includes more than 550 high-quality journals with content in a wide range of disciplines.

Newspapers.com is a database that includes more than 198 million pages of historical newspapers between the 1700s-2000s. Many local and regional newspapers in the United States and other countries, such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, Panama and the United Kingdom, are included.

"Having access to historic local and regional primary-source newspaper content is a wonderful asset for our students and faculty," said Michelle Turvey-Welch, head of content development. "Newspapers.com has coverage of over 816 Kansas cities and towns, allowing for insights on communities over time."

Lastly, the Libraries secured access to four Project Muse 2023 ebook collections covering gender studies, language and linguistics, psychology and Midwest studies. Additional titles will be added as they are published; Project Muse ebooks are all unlimited access and digital rights management-free.
