K-State's School of Music, Theatre and Dance will present the final weekend of performances for "The Fantasticks," the musical originally called romantic, quirky and weird when it opened in 1960. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, through Saturday, Oct. 28, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in the Mark Chapman Theatre at Nichols Hall.

With many of its songs hitting the pop charts of the day, "The Fantasticks" ran for a total of 53 years off-Broadway making it the longest-running musical in history.
